NDTV has launched a "Fight for Jessica Lal" campaign to garner support for a fresh trial in the ‘Jessica Lal murder case’ where all the nine prime accused were discharged by a Delhi sessions court last week.( Lal, a model, was filling in as a bartender in a posh south Delhi restaurant when she was shot in the wee hours of 30 April 1999. This happened after she reportedly refused to serve liquor to Manu Sharma, the son of Haryana Excise Minister Vinod Sharma. )

This blog is named chirucola because it was launched to make people aware of the CSE findings about the pesticide remains in Cola drinks and the callousness with which Megastar Chiranjeevi, fondly called Chiru by his fans, adhered and continued to endorse the Cola product despite strong evidences to the contrary, brushing them aside as "pukaarlu".

Good one Trivikram Garu... The verdict had angered me beyond words... truly vindicated my view of this country - we have moved on from the caste based society to the class based one... wait a minute, even casteism exists till now... we have merely chosen another parameter to look down people on...

seems to me that casteism is growing stronger now. New ages and new systems have brought with them new evils only to add to the old ones.
